He knows you!

He knows you!featured

Hello dear neighbor!  I’m going to share something extraordinary with you:

God knows everything about you!

Jeremiah 1:5:  “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you; And before you came forth from the womb, I sanctified you.”

Psalm 139: 14-16:  “My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in secret, skillfully fashioned in the depths of the earth.  Your eyes saw my unformed substance; And in Your book all of them were written: The days that were ordained for me, When not one of them was yet.”

The significance of God knowing us

The first thing that comes to mind when we realize that God knows us entirely is that there is absolutely nothing that we can hide from Him.  The Lord knows all our longings, fears, desires, dreams, and much more than we know about ourselves.  He knows our strengths and weaknesses fully.  Being outside of time, God sees us all at the same time as when we were born, when we were conceived in our mother’s womb, all of our life stages and milestones, our failures and successes, and He even knows our last day on the earth.

We should be utterly transparent with Him and even converse and pray with Him about anything.

A personal relationship with Him

When a patient that I’ve seen for a while feels comfortable with me, they open up a few things that they don’t even open up to their pastors, priests, or even significant others.  Many patients have shed tears, cried, joked, etc.  I am honored to be in such a position, and I am thankful to the Lord for this calling of being a healer.  It baffles me at times that even new patients who come in as a walk-in for urgent matters will allow me to examine specific parts of their bodies and inject or even use a scalpel on them despite being the first time seeing me.

When we have a good friend, we also open up to him/her.  And I firmly believe it should be the same with the Lord.  We should be able to open up to Him all our concerns and pray about anything and everything.  He knows our deepest thoughts, worries, anxieties, dreams, and hopes.   Therefore, let’s be encouraged by our omniscient God when talking and praying to Him, knowing He listens to us.

Accountability

Now let me share with you a catch: Because we know that He knows everything about us and that He watches over us, we ought to be careful about all our decisions and actions.  And not only our outward behavior but our innermost thoughts and intentions.

May we have a pure heart when doing good and no one sees us, tithing in secret, fasting, and praying in secret.

Divine guidance

For those of us who believe in such a God and contain such a One in our spirit, there should be a firm conviction that our lives are full of meaning and with a sense of direction.  He leads us to make the best decisions.  He promises to always be with us and never abandon us:  “Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid or terrified because of them,  for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you” (Deuteronomy 31:6).

Did you make a mistake or bomb this or that?  Just wait it out. Tomorrow will be a new day.  Even when we make mistakes, He is still with us.  “And we know that all things work out together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28).

Greater purpose

While we may feel small knowing that God also knows and cares for the lives of millions of other believers just like us, we should realize that we are part of something eternal and bigger than ourselves.  I encourage you to declare the following:  “Thank you, Lord.  I am part of Your purpose. I am a member of the Body of Christ, and You care for me deeply and all my brothers and sisters on the Earth.”

I am sure there are other points of significance, even precious ones, of the importance of God knowing absolutely everything about us.  Praise the Lord that He loves us, and He cares so much about us that He gave His son for us.  May we live unto Him every day.

May God bless you and keep you strong in Him.

Jeremiah 29:11 says,  “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”  God knows your past, present situation, and future.
